Toyota is introducing a new yellow paint color for its TRD Pro off-roaders, called Honeycomb. This new color is available on the 2027 Tundra and Sequoia TRD Pro models.
The Honeycomb paint seems to shift in appearance, with a finish that looks almost eggshell or satin in the shadows, but pops when it gets in the sun.
New Color Option
Toyota’s decision to offer this new color is a departure from the greyscale vehicles that dominate the market. The company is known for offering bold color options, and the Honeycomb paint is just the latest example.
The Tacoma and 4Runner high-po off-road variants will get a slightly different shade called Hot Honey. While the difference between the two colors may be subtle, Toyota has chosen to distinguish them by name.

Other Updates
In addition to the new color options, Toyota has also rolled out some incremental updates for the 2027 Tundra and Sequoia TRD Pro. These updates include standard red tow hooks and “Fox-enhanced” QS3 adjustable shocks.
The Tundra will also be available with trick ISO-Dynamic seats that feature air shocks in the back. These updates are designed to enhance the performance and capability of the vehicles.
While some may not be fans of the new Honeycomb color, it’s hard to argue with the idea that more color options are a good thing. The Solar Octane orange that Toyota offered in the past was certainly eye-catching, but the Honeycomb paint is more subtle.
