Terms of Service — Law Approach
Welcome to Law Approach. Since 2018, our mission has been to translate traffic and automotive law into clear, actionable guidance you can actually use — without needing a law degree. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Law Approach website, tools, and educational content (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you should discontinue use immediately. We encourage you to read these Terms carefully, as they affect your legal rights and obligations.
Important Disclaimer Regarding Legal Information. Law Approach provides educational content designed to help drivers and auto owners in the United States understand vehicle-related legal matters. However, nothing on this Service constitutes legal advice, nor does it create an attorney-client relationship between you and Law Approach, its authors, or contributors. Traffic laws vary by state and municipality, and legal outcomes depend on the specific facts of each situation. You should always consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction before making legal decisions or taking legal action related to traffic citations, accidents, insurance disputes, vehicle liability, or any other matter discussed on this Service. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which Law Approach maintains its principal place of business, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be addressed through good-faith informal negotiation by contacting us through our Contact Us page. If the dispute is not resolved within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules. You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class action, consolidated, or representative proceeding. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.
Your Rights and Responsibilities as a User. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes as a driver or vehicle owner. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or publicly display any content from the Service without our prior written consent. You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to misrepresent your identity, or to interfere with the operation of the Service. You retain full ownership of any content you submit to us, but by doing so, you grant Law Approach a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use such content in connection with operating and improving the Service. We respect your rights as a user and are committed to maintaining a platform that serves your interests in understanding the laws that affect you on the road.
Modifications, Severability, and Contact. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When changes are made, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms represent the entire agreement between you and Law Approach regarding the Service, superseding any prior agreements or understandings. If you have questions, concerns, or feedback about these Terms, please reach out to us through our Contact Us page. We value the trust you place in us as a resource for understanding the automotive laws that impact your daily life.
